Lucking into Joy

Lucking into Joy

So many people think that happiness happens from the events that happen to them or that people luck into being happy. Instead, you can only find joy inside yourself. Happiness doesn’t come from outside things, such as money, but that’s not really how it works. Yes those things can make you happy briefly, but it’s not true joy. You deserve to have happiness throughout your entire life and not have it depend on outside factors. Luckily, there are many ways you can get true joy that comes from within. If you are happy on the inside, it doesn’t matter what happens to you on the outside.

The first way you can find true joy is to count your blessings. You have so many good things in your life! You most likely have a roof over your head. You probably have had a lot of good memories and experiences. You also most likely have had some amazing relationships. Write these things and moments down. Your list will grow and grow and you’ll realize just how amazing your life is.

The second thing you can do is share your gratitudes. Share what you’re grateful for with other people. Tell people that you’re grateful for them, and spread positivity! This will help you and other people grow in their happiness.

The third thing you can do to find true joy is find the best in each situation. It can be really easy to do that during great situations but it can be hard to do when you’re in a rough situation. When I’m going through a tough situation I look at how I can grow from it. I look at what I can learn from the difficult time and how I can move forward in the best way possible.

These ideas may seem simple, it’s because they are. Joy doesn’t come from a difficult scientific equation. It comes from inside of us and how we recognize and acknowledge the various situations we encounter. I suggest giving my suggestions a try a few times.

Some extra ways that can help would be to meditate and just let your mind wander and just relax as you count your blessings. Journaling can also be very helpful, I use it to count my blessings and I put affirmations in it. It doesn’t necessarily need to be a journal, just grab a piece of paper and write things down. Write down the situations you’re going through and it will make it easier for you to analyze the situation. Reflect on what you’ve written down. Think about what you’re grateful for, think about how you can grow from the situations you’re in.

In my opinion these are the best ways for you to find true joy. True inner joy will bring you peace and it will make you shine brightly. You don’t luck into happiness, you need to go after it and find it inside yourself.
