3 Ways to Stay Positive - 100th EPISODE

WE DID IT! ONE HUNDRED EPISODES!!! YAHOO!!!! It’s time to PARTY!!! And by party, I mean get positive!!! In this episode I asked people in our Energy Hub Membership Community and asked them what helps them stay positive. My hope is that what they share may resonate with you and help you have a positive and abundant mindset so you can live your life to the max! The first person I interviewed is Wes Norton, the second person is Jennifer Lokaitis, and the final person is Steve O’Connell. I would love to hear the things that help you to stay positive! Feel free to message me on social media or email me, you can find my info at the end of these show notes.

Wes Norton finds that the best way to stay positive is to redirect his thoughts in positive directions, to make them be what he wants them to be. He is a competitive body builder and people can have very negative views on that. However, he doesn’t need to allow those views to affect him. He realizes that many people don’t agree with it or understand it, but he also realizes that he’s seen himself grow in many different ways over the years. Bodybuilding has improved his life immensely; he chooses to focus on that rather than people’s negative thoughts towards what he’s doing. Recently he’s been preparing for a very big competition, but due to the pandemic it could get cancelled at any time. That worry isn’t affecting him though, because even if it gets cancelled, he still will have gotten all of the growth from preparing for it.

Jennifer Lokaitis is a member of the Power Nation exercise group, which is how she met me. She started joining some of my positivity groups since she saw me posting things about positivity online. When she joined my 5 Day Positivity Challenge group she found it easy for the first few days. By the third day she began struggling a little bit, because she was trying to think of really large things to be thankful for. It took about 9 months for her to finally ask me what I was looking for. Then she started joining my Deep Dive challenges even though she was a little uncomfortable with it. Now when she’s having a bad day, she knows to take a deep breath and try to find the silver lining. Breathing has been life changing for Jennifer, though she confesses she doesn’t practice it as much as she should. Another thing that helped was my virtual retreat which she enjoyed. It helped her grow closer with the people who did it as well and it allowed her to learn more new strategies for staying positive.

Steve O’Connell has many ways of staying positive, and I am honored to be his number one. He met me through a workout group when he noticed me because of my positivity and decided to reach out. Then he decided to join Spencer’s Energy Hub where we’ve built a community of people who support and lift each other up. The second thing that’s helped him are his connections. He’s begun considering the people he surrounds himself with. If you surround yourself with negative people you are going to be negative, but if you surround yourself with positive people, you’ll be positive. It may be difficult to remove negative people from your life, but you don’t necessarily need to remove them completely, just try spending less time with them. The other main thing he does is stay mindful. He participates in meditation and yoga. Yoga helps you to focus on exactly the present moment and yourself, as well as getting your exercise in. He also loves journaling because when you write down your thoughts you can look at them and ask yourself if you want to get rid of them or keep them.
